Alice Lau Pui Yiu

Alice Lau, born in Hong Kong. She graduated from Bachelor of Arts (BA) Fine Art, RMIT University, major in painting. Alice’s paintings are inspired by observations from urban space. She depicts elements of the city and creates a fictional dreamlike place, where she can escape from reality temporarily and relief different feelings. Expressive brushstrokes, rich colours and moody atmospheres are usually found in her paintings. She sees paintings as a way to be self-aware and liberation.

Alvin c.k. Lam

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Alvin recalls picking up a paintbrush long before chopsticks. In 2020, while experimenting with watercolor urban sketching, Alvin inadvertently embarked on a journey of 'rediscovering' his hometown as he uncovers untold stories along the way —often in the most ordinary, familiar, yet most overlooked places. Each painting brings to life tales of (extra)ordinary people whose lifetime of devotion and resilience weave into the rise of Hong Kong and the rich cultural heritage that makes Hong Kong so uniquely Hong Kong.

Alvin Chan

I'm Alvin Chan, a lifelong lover of art, design, drawing, and photography. My journey into the world of visual expression started during my secondary school years, where I honed my skills in art and design with the resources available to me. Despite not having the means to own a camera, my fascination with photography led me to explore the medium through film development, graciously provided by my school. The turning point came when I could finally afford my own camera, which rekindled my passion for photography. Realizing the need for a deeper understanding of this art form, I pursued formal training at the Open University of Hong Kong. My path took a detour as I spent several years searching for my photographic niche. However, last year marked a significant shift as I revived my dedication to photography. Throughout these years, I've learned that the key isn't just pondering what to shoot but continually capturing images. Over time, I've discovered a growing inclination towards street photography, cityscapes, urban art, and their interconnectedness with people. Photography, I've come to understand, is a continuous and lifelong journey. Achieving one's goals in this is a process of constant growth and discovery. You're invited to join me on this photographic voyage and explore my evolving portfolio.

Amrita Tandon

Amrita Tandon is a contemporary artist whose work is greatly influenced by her nomadic life. She has lived across the length and breadth of India and in vibrant cities like Tokyo, Dublin, Mumbai, Sydney, Singapore and now Hong Kong, each having expanded her creative horizon. Armed with exacting standards, creative exposure and attention to detail garnered from a career in advertising, she turned her skills to painting full-time. Her artworks incorporate memories and musings. She constantly photographs and jots down things that pique her interest. A phrase read, the cadence of rain or the scent of a woodfire wafting on the breeze may become the jumping-off point for a new painting. What she portrays and the palette she uses are a window into her mind. By exploring different aspects of nature and man, from the mighty to the mundane, she chooses to perceive and thus convey the elation and glory of existence. Her paintings are about the pleasure of seeing, as well as finding a place and moment of quietude and connection.
