Kaaba, situated in the holy city of Makkah in Saudi Arabia, was built by the ancestor Adam and later jointly built by his descendants, father and son Ibrahim (Abraham) and Ismail (Ishmael). All Muslim believers must face the direction of the Kabba whenever they pray. The five pillars of Islam include going on a pilgrimage, and capable Muslims must visit Makkah at least once in their lifetime. The Kaaba is covered with black silk cloth, embroidered with Qur'anic verses in gold threads. Pilgrims from all over the world have to walk around the Kaaba which is called Tawaaf. "Verily, the first House (of worship) appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah (Makkah), full of blessing, and a guidance for Al-Alamin(the mankind and jinn)."
