Farmer Hands
(Ref#: 6)
2023
This painting comes from a modification of the Child Like series but adapted to a Chinese context, approaching the imagery of the wood carving as a painting in a three dimensional way.
This piece represents the hard work of the farmers in China as a manner of a blessing.
The symbols used in this representation are the Crane in the bottom talking about longevity and the Fénix on top refering to what is eternal or renewing.
The pictorial work was part of a performance in a life show in Fo Shan surrounded by heritage architecture inspiring the local spirit.
The intensity of the painting lasted six consecutive hours to later be rearranged for the means of the Affordable Art Fair.
