This is one of the "Salute to Hong Kong Heritage Buildings" series painted by the artist - The original church building is over 100 years old. It is now a Grade II listed historical building, with a UNESCO award for Heritage Conservation. In 2015, the new multi-purpose Life Centre was opened at the front of the site. Additional facilities on site include the Seeds Garden, the Old Vicarage, and the St Andrew’s Christian Centre. It is the oldest English speaking Protestant church in Kowloon. While St Andrew's commenced its life as a church for the expatriate community, it is now an international church with 90% of those attending considering Hong Kong as their home.
