Study of Nude With Fish Head and Animal Bones
2014
Having to deal with disappointments and regrets when we take risks to grow is something many of us try to avoid. We cannot see her face, her emotions are not explicit but rather suggested through her body language. Is she floating, sinking, or suspended in this atmosphere of sick decay? Is she suffering, drowning, or is this an enjoyable moment? Many of us try to avoid having to deal with disappointments and regrets when we take on challenges, but we must embrace and allow ourselves to go through these uneasy situations in order to progress and truly live.
“In me, she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman
Rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish”
Sylvia Plath
