Trees in city: Big-leaved Fig (Hung Shing Temple, Wan Chai)

2021
The focus of a city are trees but not skyscrapers. Trees are the original inhabitants on this land but are chopped down by the name of 'urban development'. Luckily a few of them are reserved and living in temples / churches / stone walls or burst their way out from concrete roads. The 'Trees in city' series re-discovered the beauty and toughness of plants and please remember urban development and conserve the nature are both important. Rather not building another skyscraper but to save one tree. There is a Big-leaved Fig hiding behind Hung Shing Temple in Wan Chai like a green umbrella protecting the temple. I put the temple in the middle and twist the buildings a bit to make the tree looks like it is growing out from the buildings.
