In 2018 during the time a super Typhoon hit the city with it’s power and our buildings started dancing at the bit of the wind, this painting came to me as a prayer for Hong Kong. I was reminded how is a popular say to mention that Hong Kong among it’s neighbour cities and country’s is known to be specially protected from natural disasters. The prayer was the vision of the angel of God using his spear to stop the terrible disasters that stalk our city, the giants trying to come in tamed on perfect timing. A big inspiration for this work were the great painter of storms William Turner and the classical representations of Angel Gabriel.
