Pieces of me is a transformational journey of rediscovering one’s identity through resting in the truth, promises and strength of God. The illustration is created out of random acrylic paints found on a mixing board which depicts our past that may be messy, futile and meaningless. It then turned into an abstract portrait after intentional alteration with digital means, that resembles with God’s reshaping power towards our identity. By resting in God’s mercy and grace, we are no longer defined by our past, weaknesses or poor life decision-making, but our identity is solely anchored in the word of God. His love makes us beautiful and purposeful.
