Lakeside

2010
Chen Feng is well known Guangdong artist who likes to capture sights and expressed with his touch with oil on canvas paintings. This is a petite version of his famous natural landscapes. By the lakeside stands a tree, once vibrant and full of life, now withered and dying. Its branches are bare, stripped of their leaves by the passage of time. The bark is cracked and dry, a testament to the harsh conditions of the environment. Despite its sorry state, the tree still stands tall and proud, a symbol of resilience in the face of adversity. As it looks out over the tranquil waters of the lake, the tree seems to draw strength from the peaceful surroundings. It's a poignant reminder that even in the face of death and decay, there is still beauty to be found in the world.
