Reflection of the heart "If you want something you've never had, you've got to do something you've never done." - Thomas Jefferson. This installation art composed of flower petals of various shapes and sizes (that formed a heart shape) is meant to represent different life experiences. The front of the device symbolises the second half of life, while the flip represents the first half. Acrylic pieces represent different memories, with dead bees and skeletons symbolising rebirth and withered and blooming flowers interspersed between the past and the present. Chinese ink painted on the acrylics gives new life to the ordinary material, wiping away its original attributes and allowing a new work to be born. The transparent petals represent the subtle imprints of memories. White petals represent memories and secrets that one does not want to forget and reveal. Mirrors represent new encounters, allowing us to see a strange version of ourselves through the eyes of others. The blooming flower represents NOW- the best moment. The beauty or ugliness of the work is not important, what matters is its uniqueness.
