Kwok Mang-ho was born in 1947 in Guangdong, China, and moved to Hong Kong in 1959. He studied at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and later at the University of California, Berkeley. He began using the name "Frog King" in the 1970s as a way to challenge traditional Chinese art and embrace a more unconventional approach. Frog King's work often incorporates elements of performance art, sculpture, and painting, and he is known for his colorful, whimsical, and often humorous pieces. He has exhibited his work extensively in Hong Kong, as well as in other parts of Asia, Europe, and the United States.
