Sindy is a self-taught artist. She has loved art since childhood but was educated in traditional way and never thought she could create her own art. In 2019, Sindy resigned from her project management job to rethink about life. She felt so lost until she picked up the paintbrush again. This time, Sindy does not follow any rules but her intuition to create. Sindy’s arts lean towards abstract, but also come with pop art and surrealism elements. Instead of depicting an “object”, Sindy aims to present a vibe and her life attitude. The new “My Wonderland” series is a peek into Sindy’s imaginary world — it’s vibrant and dreamy, yet full of unknowns and challenges. It’s whimsical yet echoing what happens within and around us — our self-identify, aspirations and doubts, our city and society, the Earth and humankind etc. Sindy invites you to visit her inner world and shares with you how she encounters these issues. At the same time, you may revisit your inner world and inner child, and rethink about these issues too.
