This is one of the "Salute to Hong Kong Old Building" series painted by the artist - Peony House was built over 60 years ago in 1959. It is located at Tai Kok Tsui where immense urban renewal projects have been put underway. Olympic MTR station, skyscrapers and high class property estates were built nearby in recent decades. Peony House is one of the leftover old buildings that sets a big contrast to the modern office tower, HSBC Centre, which is only one street away.
