Since before the founding of Maryknoll Fathers' School in 1957, no matter rain or shine, ice cream vendor Wong Kwong has been traveling long distances with his 135kg cart each day, bringing smiles with his warm personality and building an unbreakable bond with generations of students and teachers till the age of 101. Wong departed in 2017 at age 102, leaving behind a legacy of devotion and an undying spirit of perseverance that touched the hearts of many. His cart is now under the school's care in memory of the beloved 'Ice Cream Grandpa'.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Alvin recalls picking up a paintbrush long before chopsticks. In 2020, while experimenting with watercolor urban sketching, Alvin inadvertently embarked on a journey of 'rediscovering' his hometown as he uncovers untold stories along the way —often in the most ordinary, familiar, yet most overlooked places. Each painting brings to life tales of (extra)ordinary people whose lifetime of devotion and resilience weave into the rise of Hong Kong and the rich cultural heritage that makes Hong Kong so uniquely Hong Kong.
