This piece delves into the inner thoughts and desires of a tattooed woman, offering an interpretation of how she wishes to portray herself to the world. Her body serves as a canvas, adorned with intricate tattoos, each telling a unique and deeply personal story. The arrangement and presentation of these tattoos reflect a meticulously curated representation of her individual identity. The interplay of light and shadow on the tattoos signifies the inherent dualities and complexities of human nature. The woman's confident and enigmatic expression speaks volumes about the pride and empowerment that tattoos can evoke.
I am Korean by birth and have travelled extensively, spending most of my professional life in Hong Kong.
My paintings reflect a uniquely eclectic way in and of the effects that is the mix of cultures: Korean, English and Chinese. A mix of styles which is a reflection of working and living in the cultural melting pot of Hong Kong. The energy and vibrancy of the city has always been part of my inspiration to paint.
