The Marilyn, known as “Shot Sage Blue Marilyn,” was one of five versions in different color schemes that Warhol painted in 1964, two years after Marilyn Monroe’s death. With its bright colors and captivating expression, the portraits became some of Warhol’s most iconic and famous images. An orange version recently sold to hedge fund billionaire Ken Griffin for over $200 million. This print was made from an original creative reproduction of Andy Warhol's Blue Marilyn for Castelli, 1981. Print is stamp numbered series of 50 on the verso and signed on the plate. Print number received will vary. Printed on BFK Rives handmade cotton paper (France) with deckled edges.  Print measures 22 x 18.8 inches with an image size of 17.5 x 17.5
