I grew up in the most art-loving city in India, Kolkata. I never learned from anyone but was inspired by my artist uncle, and legendary painters, cartoonists, and illustrators. My schoolbooks and college notebooks were filled with doodles and sketches. I could not take up art as a career as my family was keener to get me a regular job. Over the years, I almost stopped sketching. I started sketching again a few years earlier, upon my wife's and a few friends' insistence. I quickly regained my lost love for sketching. I found that an is a wonderful way to express, and a stressbuster at the same time. This time I honed my skills by watching the masters online and getting the right materials. My favorite medium is pencil and pastel. My work has been appreciated within my small community in Hong Kong.
