They Are Not You

“They Are Not You" is a piece of "My Wonderland" series. The girl stands above ruins made with name cards and ear loops of masks. Our self-identities are often defined by “titles”, e.g. CEOS, directors, managers…. These are “What are you?” but not “Who are you?”. Also, our lives are surrounded by world issues, e.g. pandemics and wars. All these are NOT you. Although we cannot get rid of them completely, let’s not be buried by them. Stand over them and be the authentic you. “My Wonderland” series is a glimpse of Sindy’s imaginary world , and herself in it. The world is vibrant and dreamy , yet full of unknowns and sometimes difficult, which makes it fascinating. It is whimsical yet echoing what happens within us and around us — about our self-identify, aspiration , the city and society we live in, the Earth and humankind etc. Sindy invites you to visit her inner world and shares with you how she, as an individual, encounters these issues. At the same time, you may revisit your inner world and inner child, and rethink about these issues too.
