Sitting Still (Auctioned by OpenHeart)
2015
This piece illustrates Philip’s observation of some greyhound canine friends being taken care of in our buzzing society in Central, Hong Kong after the closing down of the greyhound racing in Macao. Some of them are born to be fast pacing members and very active – akin to full of energy and yet some are naturally less distracted. This is a reflection of our society today, for which Philip wants to express that human beings will need show empathy and be more accommodating to everyone in our society.
Sitting still is created as part of the series Philip created in 2015 as he called it “Friends”
