Sea Crossing Swim 渡海泳
2021
It was a hot day in July, and the harbour crossing swim was in full swing. Most of the swimmers were young and healthy, but there were a few elderly people, children, and pregnant women among them. Everyone was trying to get to the other side as quickly as possible, but the waters were also very choppy. Only that one young girl is focused in swimming towards the shore. Some people were getting caught in the current, and were being swept away quickly. The water was so cold that it was difficult to stay afloat for very long. The young girl finally make it across the harbour. This painting is part of the series of swimmers and divers for which Phillip started to develop an affinity to water and skylines.
