Black White Red & Yellow
2022
An abstract landscape of urban buildings in a metropolis. This bustling metropolis is something that cannot be confined to a single frame. Its details are too complex and varied to be fully captured. Francesco captures this complexity through simple and direct forms, creating humorous, naive visions of the city's magnificence. His striking colors portray the essence of Hong Kong's famous harbor skyline, and his strong blocks of paint represent the buildings. Smaller patches of textured color add a dream-like, ephemeral quality to the cityscape, making it something unique and special. This specific painting is one of the earliest experimental piece that Francesco try using resin to create an everlasting finish - not exactly perfect but one of his first attempt to create an impression. VERY RARE because of this imperfection.
