HK Island Citystate
2023
This bustling metropolis is something that cannot be confined to a single frame. Its details are too complex and varied to be fully captured. Francesco captures this complexity through simple and direct forms, creating humorous, naive visions of the city's magnificence. His striking colors portray the essence of Hong Kong's famous harbor skyline, and his strong blocks of paint represent the buildings. Smaller patches of textured color add a dream-like, ephemeral quality to the cityscape, making it something unique and special. This limited screen print is an original piece that he hand produced and signed.
